I am a proud graduate of Aiken County Public Schools and Clemson University (GO TIGERS!) where I earned my degree in Elementary Education. I returned home to begin my career in education, teaching 4th and 5th grade at Ridge Spring-Monetta Elementary School and then Mossy Creek Elementary. During this time, I also began the Varsity Swim Team at my alma mater, South Aiken. My passion for making a difference and ensuring every child receives the best education led me to pursue my Master’s in Educational Leadership from Augusta State University, graduating in 2008. I was named Assistant Principal at Hammond Hill Elementary in 2010, serving there for 7 years before moving to Byrd Elementary as Assistant Principal for 3 years. As of July 1, I will serve as Principal at Chukker Creek Elementary.

My husband, Bucky, and I reside in North Augusta. Our three children, Maggie (12), Trey (8), and Molly (3) keep us busy but we couldn’t imagine life any other way. During our free time, we enjoy traveling and Clemson football!
